Alfa Romeo Racing has completed its first miles in Barcelona as the team prepares for the upcoming Formula 1 season. The team, which is backed by the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo, took to the track for the first time in their new car, the C41.

The C41 is the team’s latest challenger, following on from the successful C39 which saw the team achieve some impressive results last season. The car features a new livery and aerodynamic upgrades, with the team hoping to build on their success from last year.

The team’s drivers, Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi, were both in action during the testing session in Barcelona. Räikkönen, who is a veteran of the sport and a former world champion, was pleased with how the car felt on track.

“It’s always exciting to get back in the car after the winter break and I have to say that the C41 feels really good,” Räikkönen said. “We still have some work to do, but the initial impressions are positive and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve this season.”

Giovinazzi, who is entering his third season with the team, was also impressed with the performance of the C41. “The car feels fast and responsive, which is exactly what you want from a Formula 1 car,” Giovinazzi said. “I’m confident that we can continue to build on the progress we made last year and I’m excited to see how we stack up against our competitors.”

Team principal Frédéric Vasseur was also pleased with the team’s performance during the testing session. “It’s been a productive few days for us in Barcelona,” Vasseur said. “The C41 is a step forward from last year’s car and both Kimi and Antonio have given positive feedback on its performance. We still have some work to do before the first race, but I’m confident that we can be competitive this season.”

Overall, Alfa Romeo Racing’s first miles in Barcelona have given the team plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the upcoming Formula 1 season. With a strong car and experienced drivers, the team will be hoping to build on their success from last year and secure some impressive results throughout the season.
